The people and purpose behind Newkirklytics
We help communities make better economic decisions by creating a shared picture of our local economy. Together, we build stronger communities.
We don't sell software. We build partnerships. We help leaders understand their economy, make stronger decisions, and create measurable impact.
- Relevant Intelligence.
- Practical Solutions.
- Measurable Outcomes.
- Stronger Communities.
Every partnership conversation follows the same arc — listen first, then build together:
What are you trying to accomplish?
What's getting in the way?
What information would help?
How can we build that together?
How will we know it's working?
Girard Newkirk

Girard Newkirk is the creator of Newkirknomics — the framework for building neighborhood economies — and the founder of Genesis Block in Wilmington, NC. Newkirklytics was created to turn that framework into working infrastructure: if a community can't see its own economy, it can't coordinate it, and if it can't coordinate it, it can't grow it.
“The neighborhood economy is the most under-measured asset in America. We built the operating system to change that.”
Every category strengthens the economy differently
Neighborhood economies aren't built by any single institution. Each partner category plays a distinct role in the operating system.
Universities and community colleges contribute research, data, and talent pipelines that ground the platform's measurements in evidence.
Business networks, coalitions, and nonprofits activate members, run programs, and carry the work into every neighborhood.
Banks and CDFIs use readiness data to move capital to borrowers who are prepared to use it well.
EDOs and chambers get the shared picture they've always needed to coordinate strategy across a region.
Cities and counties measure neighborhood economic health, target support, and connect procurement to local suppliers.
Mapping, data, and payments partners power the platform's infrastructure.
Corporations sponsor activation events and programs, turning community commitments into visible local outcomes.
